Required Materials

• $50 non-refundable application fee 

• Official transcript from all institutions attended

  • For applicants of the initial licensure programs: undergraduate cumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in your bachelor's degree 

  • For applicants of the advanced studies program: undergraduate cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale in your bachelor's degree 

  • For applicants of the Licensure Only program: A child growth and development course (minimum grade of B- for undergraduate level course; minimum grade of B for graduate level course). 

  • Demonstrate content/subject matter knowledge via prior coursework or experience: science laboratory work; basic principles and concepts in each of the visual and performing arts (art, music, drama/theater, dance); basic principles and practices in physical education; and basic principles and practices related to personal and family health. Questions about subject matter knowledge can be directed to the elementary education program coordinator.

  • If you attended an institution outside of the United States, a transcript evaluation from one of our approved agencies is required.

• English Proficiency, if applicable for international applicants

The master of education in elementary education initial licensure, the master of education in elementary education advanced studies, and licensure-only elementary education programs do not support international students in f or j status due to program modality and/or part-time status. Please contact graduate admissions to verify which programs are suitable.
